The X-Men and Wolverine
The X-Men were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby of Marvel in 1963. The X-Men are mutants, who through evolution, are born with superhero abilities that usually begin at the onset of puberty. The X-Men was formed by Professor Charles X, a wealthy mutant who founded the academy to train young mutants. The Wolverine also known as Logan was created by Len Wein, John Romita, Sr., and Herb Trimpe and first appeared in 1974. The Canadian Wolverine possesses animal-keen senses, reflexes, an expert in hand-to-hand combat, and a healing factor that enables him to recover from virtually any wound which helped to bond his signature, razor sharp, adamantium claws to his skeletal system. The Wolverine joined the X-Men in 1975 and has since become one of the most popular characters of Marvel.
