The Punisher
The Punisher was created by Gerry Conway, John Romita, Sr., and Ross Andru and first appeared in The Amazing Spiderman in 1974. The Punisher does not possess any super human powers, but he is a master in martial arts, stealth tactics, hand to hand combat, and most arms. Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher was a military man and the turning point in Frank Castle's life was when his family is targeted for execution by the mob after his wife witnessed a mob hit. Frank survived, but the rest of his family did not. The police are unwilling to help Frank as most of them are in league with the mob. At this time, he decides to become a vigilante and must take justice into his own hands. He now dawns his signature skull logo and extracts revenge on all that he deems guilty. Since that day, he has waged a one man war on crime, as the Punisher.
