Hellboy
Hellboy was created by DarkHorse Comics by Mike Mignola in 1993. Hellboy is a demon who was brought to earth by Nazi occultist and rescued by Allied Forces and raised in the United States. He grew up to be a large red-skinned demon, with a tail and horns, and a has big stone right hand. He became the primary member of an organzation dedicated to battling the occult. Despite being a demon, he is given an honory status of a human and is treated no different. Hellboy has super human strength, and his right hand is known as the Right Hand of Doom and is virtually indestrutable and feel no pain and is capable of summoning demons. His other hand is used for more normal tasks and is often seen carrying weapons. Hellboy also carries religious relics which help him and his organization battle the supernatural. The Hellboy character is the most popular ever created outside of the Marvel and DC universe and the Hellboy character was featured in a movie staring Ron Perlman as the Hellboy.
