Friday the 13th Movie Series
Friday the 13th was released in 1980 and featured the beginning of one of the most iconic figures in horror slasher flimes, Jason Voorhees. In the first film, Jason is in the film very little and the story revolves around his mother extracting revenge on camp counselors for letting his young boy drown. In the Friday the 13th part 3, Jason becomes the character that we now know as he wears a hockey mask and carries his weapon of choice, the machete. The Friday the 13th movie series has released eleven installments with Jason also starring in the Freddy vs Jason movie. Friday the 13th continues to be one of the most popular horror movie series ever created.
