Fat Albert
Fat Albert first appeared in 1967, on the album Revenge, and was the brain child of Bill Cosby. The Fat Albert cartoon tv show was released in 1972 and ran to 1984 making it one of the longest running cartoon series ever. The Fat Albert tv show featured Fat Albert and his friends, the junkyard Gang, dealing with issues common among kids and young adults and at the end of the Fat Albert tv show they would right a song about the problem and how it was solved. The Fat Albert character and tv show has become so popular that a movie based on BIll Cosby's characters was released in 2004.
