Evil Dead is the 1st in the Evil Dead trilogy and was released in 1981 and was directed by Sam Raimi and starred Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams. Ash and four of his friends venture to a cabin in the woods, where they find an audiotape and the book of the dead which releases evil spirits that will stop at nothing to swallow their souls. The Evil Dead movie is considered a classic in the horror genre and the Evil Dead trilogy has a huge cult following.
