Day of the Dead
Day of the Dead is the third installment of George A Romero's Living Dead series. Day of the Dead is centered around a group of people surviving in a military base. The people are divided by their ideas on how to deal with the zombie problem and what to do with their remaining time. The military wants to eradicate the living dead, the scientist want to find a reason for the outbreak and how to treat it, and the civilians want to leave and find a peaceful place. The tone of the film is dark and the theme throughout the film is that we are a bigger danger to ourselves than anything else. Although the Day of the Dead film was not all that well received, it did receive the 1985 best make up award and Day of the Dead is George A Romero's favorite out of all of the Living Dead movies that he has made to date.
