Batman first appeared Detective Comics in 1939 by Bob Kane and Bill Finger through DC Comics. Batman's secret identity of Bruce Wayne who is a billionare and after witnessing the murder of his parents trains his body and mind to the limits of human endurance. He makes use of all his skills and wealth to wage a one man war on crime. Although Batman has no true super powers, he is a genius and has pushed his body to the limits of human endurance and has trained in many arts in including the martial arts, acrobatics, and escape artistry. Batman also incorporates many gadgets that he has designed or modified including his most famous 2 creations, the Bat mobile and his utility belt. The Batman remains one of the most popular characters created and is not only featured in his own comic book, but through tv shows, magazines, and several movies.
